Web Developer
Location: Shanghai, P.R. China
Job Type: Full-Time
Our front-end web developer implements our user-facing interfaces, touching each of clients. This role is suitable for an eager professional with attention to detail and a complete understanding of web standards and browser compatibility issues.
You should also be excited developing interfaces for mobile devices and tablets, design skills a bonus.
Job description
- Implement global look and feel of application in HTML/CSS from designs
- Implement templates in HTML/CSS for views
- Assist graphic department in development of wireframes and usability
- Working with a wide range of media and design software
- Willing to learn and adapt
Experience / Requirements
- Fluency in English communication, excellent verbal and written skills
- Comprehensive understanding of modern web standards
- Provide skills in compliant HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Experience building websites from wireframes and design comps
- Familiar with Subversion
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience working in teams
- Graduate in computer or graphic design field preferred
Bonus experience
- PHP experience is a bonus
- Graphic design skills and knowledge of design tools desirable
- Experience in mobile user inteface design a plus

As a web and graphic designer you will be involved primarily in the design and consideration of user interfaces across web, iPhone, iPad, email and print media.
With a strong focus on delivering a great user experience and interfaces that help lead users through sometimes complex systems you will find the position both challenging and rewarding.
Job description
- Design of website, mobile, iPad and electronic newsletters
- Working with marketing and technical teams to ensure integration and brand continuance into all products and services
- Experience designing custom user interfaces
- Integrations with 3rd party services and platforms
- Scoping, planning, conception and design of applications
- Contribute and participate in new feature/product specifications
- Attention to detail
Experience / Requirements
- Fluency in English communication
- Minimum 4 years relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Expert in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Demonstrated experience designing digital interfaces
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as in a team
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver within our fast-paced environment
Bonus points
- Mobile design experience a plus
- HTML/CSS/ expertise very desirable
